What are Amazon's white background rules?
For the main product image Amazon asks for a pure white background (RGB 255, 255, 255), the product filling about 85% of the frame, and at least 1000 px on the longest side so zoom works; 1600–2000 px is recommended. No text, logos or props in the main image. Check Seller Central for your category, as some have extra rules.
Is the white really #FFFFFF?
Yes. The background is filled with exact RGB 255/255/255, and the JPG export keeps it at 255 because there is no colour noise in a flat fill. Many "white" studio shots are actually light grey (around 240), which marketplace checks can reject.
Should I add a shadow?
A soft drop shadow makes a product look grounded rather than pasted on. Amazon allows natural shadows on the main image; eBay, Etsy and Shopify themes have no rule against them. Turn it off if your storefront uses a flat look.
What size should I export?
